APPOINTMENTS TO LGA COMMITTEES

Report by the Policy Officer

RECOMMENDATION

That the report be noted, and the representatives on the LGA be thanked for their work.

1. At its last meeting the Association decided that the current year's representatives should be asked to remain on LGA committees. With only one exception (the Isle of Wight representative) this was possible. West Sussex LGA agreed with this approach.

2. County Council appointments are made on a national basis, but the majority of appointments are made by the South-Central Electoral College (Hampshire, Isle of Wight and West Sussex) and these are shown in the annex.
