IMPROVING LOCAL GOVERNANCE STEERING GROUP FOR HAMPSHIRE - REPORT-BACK
Report by the Acting Hon Secretary
RECOMMENDATION
That Councillors N Arnell (Test Valley), D Clark (East Hampshire) and K House (Eastleigh) be appointed to represent the District Councils on the proposed joint Steering Group for the Review of highways agency arrangements.
1. The minutes of the meeting held on 20 November will be circulated with the agenda for the next Association meeting in January.
2. One issue which may move ahead before the next Association meeting is a review by Hampshire County Council of its highway agency arrangements. Members agreed to establish a joint Steering Group on which the District Councils will be represented. It is recommended that the Leaders of the "pilot" highways agency districts represent the District Councils as a whole on the Steering Group.
